Perfect car phone mount for Rideshare drivers!

I use this mount to hold my phone while driving for UBER and LYFT. It is a great! At first I was disconcerted by the easy way it moved around -- but I soon got used to the touch and find it works really well. Had looked around on the internet and at car stores and wasn't happy with others I tried. This is definitely a good one!

Best Mount Ever

I received this product in exchange for an honest review. As an Uber/Lyft driver I needed a phone mount that can keep my phone cool during these summer months and the Square Jellyfish Vent Mount has been the answer.

Getting the mount on the vent took a little bit of time because I couldn't figure out which way to turn the knob to tighten on to the vent. After that everything worked great! You may find that you will have to spread the grips a bit depending on the Suze of your phone. They are quite resistant but holds your phone in place.

Uber/Lyft must have

I have tried a few different ones and this by far has been the easiest and most reliable for when I drive uber. It's easy to install and aside from the occasional time where the weight of my 6+ and cover makes it lean forward it's pretty damn sturdy. Great purchase and recommend for anyone doing Lyft or uber. One of the best features is that it doesn't totally block my AC and I'm in Florida

Perfect for me... I truly Love it!!! Square Jellyfish Jelly Grip Car Vent Mount for Smartphones & Garmin GPS I had previously purchased another vent mount device that had two basic problems...it was too big to fit in the vent mount in the center of my car and the phone kept falling out.. This Jelly-Grip mount solved both of these problems...it's small so it fits in any of the vents in my 2016 Kia Sorento and yet strong enough to hold my Samsung Note 3 smart phone securely... I love it... my grandson saw it and also loves it... so... can't go wrong with this device...get one today... I love it. Jerry Upchurch ps. This is amazing! It fits my air vent when others wouldn't. It feels very secure and doesn't wobble around. And it securely fits my edge s7 and can be used in landscape or vertical mode. Definitely recommend this mount.

I’m going to give this 5 stars for numerous reasons
1 Who ever designed this hit a home run, I can’t stand having my GPS stuck to the windshield this is a great idea, now I know there are other vent holders out there but this one wins
2 it uses a hook from behind the vent fin, I’ve tried the others that push on the fin with friction but every time I did that with others it would knock the fin from its joint
3 it utilizes metal in its most crucial part, not plastic
4 you can use your Garmin mount with it, they use the same size pivot ball
Lastly, I put some Gorilla two sided tape on the bottom so (the base) if you will sticks to the bottom fins and where it catches the bottom of the vent to add a little more adhesion to the vent for going over bumps.

Easy to use and super secure!

I had just bought my first smartphone for many hundreds of $$$ and did not want it to fall, at all, ever. I researched many phone holders and was lucky enough to find this one. The metal hook is what sold me. I obviously didn't see all the phone holders in the world, but all the others I saw had plastic devices that splayed open inside the vent and then had some tightening device. If it wasn't tight enough, it seemed, it could slip out. This one is the simple and obvious solution. It holds my iPhone 6s beautifully and fits my 2016 Subaru Forester vent. I still get excellent airflow, and believe me...living in southern California my air conditioning is vital. This phone holder impressed me so much that I bought several others for relatives, especially one for my niece who drives a car without navigation features, but who can use her iPhone hands free for just about anything. It's easy to put on, take off, turn in just about any direction. My car doesn't have navigation features, either, but I can use the phones's free apps for turn-by-turn navigation...and I don't need to look at it. But even if I did need to, the phone is held at a good height and pivots easily for perfect viewing.

Looks good while stopped or moving

Easy to install with a custom fit. Looks great while parked or even to glance at while driving safely. Does not block the airflow from the vent. Quality product and fit on my Mercedes C250.

Best vent mount I've tried yet!

First of all I did receive this product for free in exchange for my review, but that being said this really is the best vent mount phone holder I have used yet. This Mount is easy to install and secure to the vent, but just as importantly it is extremely easy to remove it to move to another vehicle. It works perfectly in my 2008 Mazda CX-9 with my Samsung Galaxy S5 in a Seidio case. One of the problems that I have had with other vent mount is they have been extremely difficultfor one-handed operation, but I can easily put my phone in or out of this mount with one hand only. I would like to see this made in a model for tablets as well.

The adjustable swivel works great. It fits my vent

I am changing my review. I purchased this about 4 weeks ago. It grips my phone well. The adjustable swivel works great. My car as 2 different size vents. The one on my right is a little big so the hook doesn't grip that vent well. On the left I was able to get it tight enough to hold the phone and not fall off now. The only problem is that I'm right handed and my left hand is not as coordinated as my right. It it worked on my right vent I'd give it 5 stars.

What a great mount!!!!

This mount is by far the best I've ever used. I had a similar vent mounting mount and it fails in comparison to how sturdy and durable the Jellyfish is. I use it on my 2013 Ford Explorer and it is awesome! Super easy to install. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a car mount.

I love this 5star product! This fits my car vent perfectly and securely yet does not block the airflow. I really like how it can be adjusted . I am additionally impressed with the ease of one handed placement and removal of my Samsung Note. Highly recommended!

Awesome design and very flexible device!

Awesome device! I'm now using it for my Garmin and it's much more accessible by either me the driver or my passenger. Can also be used to mount my iPhone 6s, so the flexibility and versatility in the design can't be beat.

Super Mount for sure!

I wasn't sure if it would work with our 2007 Tacoma but it certainly does! Easy to adjust, lots of different positions, and removed as easily if needed. I'm still trying to figure out the best position for quick glances at maps but it's also good for texting, I mean speaker phone use! I love it and am glad to have the opportunity to give my opinion for testing. It's a great addition for the car!

Business Traveler Essential

I travel extensively for work and was tired of paying extra for Hertz GPS. I have been using the Waze app on my smartphone. Although terrific in the directions it was not safe to have to sit the phone in the console and look down (away from road) for directions. The mount is compact and fits in my computer bag. The mounting mechanism is great as once attached is secure. I have used this across multiple rental cars since acquiring and have not had any problems. I had a fleet model Chevrolet Impala that took only a few minutes longer to secure as the horizontal vent bars were thin and flimsy, but once attached, it was rock solid. This will live inside my bag from now on and my family can be assured that I am less distracted while traveling on business.

Awesome product!

I will start off by saying I was given this product in exchange for a review. That being said, the mount works perfectly! I live in Oklahoma and we are notorious for having horrible roads. Even our highways are awful. Our roadways are constantly under construction, and it makes for a noisy, bumpy car ride. Because of this we have tons of potholes, uneven surfaces, and other road hazards that are hard on our cars. I was previously using a magnetic cd player mount and my phone was constantly falling off into the floor any time I hit a pothole or something that jarred the car. I found myself adjusting my phone on the magnet constantly to try to avoid this. And then I received the jelly-grip car vent mount. The directions were easy to follow and the install was simple too. I have a Mazda 3, and the mount attached to the vent with no issues. I was surprised about how sturdy it was. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 5, which is a large, heavy phone and the mount has not shown any signs of not being able to hold it. It has spring-loaded arms that pull apart and this is where you put the phone. Overall, I absolutely love this mount and would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

This is a very secure phone mount. It allows for easy access to the Audio/Navigation system.
The mount is a huge improvement over my previous CD phone mount because I now have can see and manage the Audio system for my 2012 Toyota Camry.

I've been using the Car Vent Mount from Square Jellyfish for a little over a week now and I have to say, it is by far the best that I have used. In the past I have been frustrated with various car mounts which were either overly cumbersome or a poor fit. This compact design allows air to still flow through my vents and is remarkably secure. I can place and remove the phone with one hand and without inadvertently loosening the unit. Prior mounts I have owned would consistently work themselves loose and fall out, but not this one! I highly recommend to anyone considering picking one up. A well thought out and sturdy product at a great price.

Loving this mount for my phone!

As an iPhone 6 Plus owner who drives regularly, I've dealt with car mounts in the past that have been either functional, but break apart after a few weeks of normal use; or the just plain flimsy type that can't even hold the weight of the device. So I'm really pleased to have come across this product which you clip onto the A/C vent, and not via suction cup on the window above the dashboard (which is what I've used primarily in the past). I've had it for about a week and thankfully it's doing just fine!

Assembly was fairly easy and straightforward. It took less than 5 minutes to clip it onto the passenger side A/C vent, and after I adjusted the tightness, got familiar with the rotating wheel and how it properly fit my phone, I was pretty much set. The only downside as far as build quality, is that you have to use just a little caution when adjusting the mount as it can easily un-clip from the vent if you're fiddling with it a lot, but this is pretty minor.

Overall, it has held up well both in portrait and landscape positions, which is perfect depending on what I'm using it for (generally calls and GPS navigation) and has withstood the bumps of the road without problem. I particularly enjoy having it at roughly eye level and not above me, which is better for quick glances while driving, and that the phone doesn't fall out when simply rotating it (been there done that).

I definitely recommend checking out this mount if you're looking for a simple yet practical design, good functionality, and plain ease of use. Five stars, because I think I've finally found a mount that balances all three!

Easy installation. Great price point. The product is not flimsy. It's very well constructed. I use while driving for the Wayz application. Also very useful for one of my cars that doesn't have navigation. Two thumbs up! I will purchase another one for a gift for my brother.

Have been using this Car Vent Mount for a week or so, and am very pleased. It is a simple but flexible design with quality construction, attaching to a dashboard air vent with a hook clasp that can be tightened securely with your fingers. Small, and protrudes just enough, to allow the vent air to flow with minimal restriction. Holds a cell phone (iPhone 6 in my case) or GPS snugly in any pivot position for best viewing by either driver or passenger, rotating easily with one hand.

Because it uses a vent, and saves space by not mounting on the dash top or windshield, it could restrict movement of that one vent to direct airflow. This depends on vent design of each car. I had to try a couple different louvers before finding the best mount that maintained the air direction I wanted for that vent. (This is mentioned in the user manual.) No problem.

It fits all three different makes of cars I own, and is easily mounted/removed as needed. A week isn't a long time, but it did not become loose. Clever design.
